Ruby Larrea is an imbaburean artist trained at the Quito School of Arts in the 1960s. His artistic practice opts for drawing, although at a certain point in his creative work he also works with painting. Studying the work of Ruby Larrea means making visible and rescuing from oblivion the invaluable aesthetic contributions of the creator. The objective of this research is to explain her artistic career and to analyze the main works of the artist that are conceived by series. The research method used is the narrative biographical for the analysis of the context and the various theories of the psychology of the form supported by the personal experience of the artist herself for the analysis of the form. The interview is used as research instruments, which is complemented by the study of primary documentary sources provided by the artist.
