Abstract

CALLE, Pablo Meriguet. On the other side of the mirror: some ideas about ideology and fetishization on the film The Animatrix.. Índex [online]. 2021, n.11, pp.52-70. ISSN 2477-9199.  https://doi.org/10.26807/cav.vi11.418.

Using a methodological and interdisciplinary exercise between the sociology of art in cinematographic science fiction and philosophy, this article intends to critically reflect on the concepts of ideology (Zizek) and fetishization (Lukacs) based on the film: The Animatrix (Wachowski et alt., 2003). This text problematizes these concepts based on the immanently critical general discourse of science fiction and the film's discourse.

Keywords : Art; philosophy; ideology; fetishization; Animatrix; Matrix; Lukács; Zizek; science fiction.
