Over the last years,philosophical thoughts about art,has probably been confronted to one of its greatest challenges: facingthe present of art. From different theoretical traditions and argumentative positions, the notion of “contemporary art” is problematized in the philosophical field. In this articleI present some approachesof JulianeRebenstischwho can be recognized asa heir of theFrankfurt Institute of Social Researchcritical tradition like. I try to highlight some warnings made by this author about the implications ofcontemporary art and the analogies it has with the logics of the market and the forms of neoliberalism.
