Museum as artistic projects inhabit a porous terrain between the Institutive practices, management and artistic production that enables contemporary practice in art. This paper analyze three projects that are named as museums, which emerged between 2010 and 2017 in different cities of Argentina: La Ene Nuevo Museo Energía de Arte Contemporáneo de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Unidad Básica Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de la ciudad de Córdoba and MUCA Musea Constructora de la ciudad de La Plata. ICOM's definition of museums, as well as debates on the role of art museums and contemporary museum practices, will be useful for the analysis. At the same time, possible alternative genealogies of museums and affiliations with artistic projects of new institutional critique at international, regional and local levels were traced. These projects are considered to be critical experiences and propose other possible ways of being a museum.
