Abstract

MARIN, Elizabeth. The un-artist: the ‘itself’ of Eliseo Solís Mora. Índex [online]. 2019, n.8, pp.46-54. ISSN 2477-9199.  https://doi.org/10.26807/cav.v0i08.206.

The definitions given by the artist Allan Kaprow, in the seventies decade of the last century, about the un-art and un-artist continue hold to current validity in corporeal actions presented in the vicinity with the "life" as a main subject signifier. From there we consider how the artist can project the un-art as a strategy for the understanding and knowledge in the use of its corporeality. In this sense, Venezuelan artist Eliseo Solís Mora parts from the deep observation and analysis of human situations, its own and from others, with the aim of creating a un-artist speech in 'itself' as a symbolization, with which generate liberation acts in the midst of a un-art of existence and various openings to the intelligible, within a veered form of art which declares the interchangeability of 'itself' with other.

Keywords : corporeality; un-art; un-artist; spin; 'itself'; life.
