Abstract

LASO, François. UN MARTES CUALQUIERA. Appear / disappear from the political body. Índex [online]. 2019, n.7, pp.186-198. ISSN 2477-9199.  https://doi.org/10.26807/cav.v0i07.177.

Un Martes Cualquiera is an archival, sound and performative installation that recovers-exposes, in a critical and poetic way, the voice, the image, the official and unofficial memories of the massacre of the workers of the AZTRA sugar mill happened on Tuesday, October 18, 1977 during the military dictatorship. This article exposes the reflexive process that allowed the implementation of the work for the Nuevo Mariano Aguilera award. The reflection displaces the aesthetic question of the images towards their political role as an operation of double disappearance: on the one hand, the bodies of the workers killed during the military dictatorship and on the other the possible representations of horror.

Keywords : Aztra; dictatorship; CIA; condor plan; union struggle; politics; police; impunity; oblivion.
