The objective of this work is to make a brief critical reflection on artistic education as a field of knowledge construction and its relationship with the university institution. The current university has not ceased to be the maximum reference of what advanced or superior knowledge means, but at the same time, it is in question as to what its role in today’s society is and what interests it represents.
