This article is about a qualitative descriptive study which was developed during 2013, 2014 and 2015 in where the author explores the cultural activities undertaken by the NGO Bordes in San Cristóbal, Venezuela. Observation method, interviews and the documentary record were the investigation techniques used. Alfons Martinell’s strategies were used as theoretical model. Artistic mediation processes are showed by the results of the research and are a way to understand the cultural management developed by this NGO in which students are trained in artistic appreciation and cultural management. Through this research we can also identify general strengths and weaknesses in the NGO in question.
