VASQUEZ-ORTEGA, Manuel. COLABORATIVE GEOMETRIES: On Metamodernity and the Collective Project of Miguel Braceli. Índex [online]. 2017, n.3, pp.32-38. ISSN 2477-9199.
A modernity more than ever questioned seems to be unable to respond to the disproportionate "evolution" of nameless contemporaneity; becoming more and more necessary its revision and appearing Metamodernity as an apparent transition to a new moment of thought. But how does a new philosophy adapt to Latin America, knowing that its leap into modernity continues to be unfinished, coupled with a complicated socio-economic and political landscape? After reviewing different forms of contemporary Latin American architecture we find the case study: the Collective Project of the venezuelan Miguel Braceli, who after a complex and complete repertoire of interventions is cataloged as a metamodern response in the middle of the tropics, rethinking the relationship between art and Architecture highlighting the processes of group creation, in order to reflect on the importance of social relations in creative processes and the responsibility of citizens in the construction of the city.
