The State policy of the current government since 2013 is oriented towards the so-called change of the productive matrix, which seeks In different ways a domestic production diversification to overcome the historical dependence on primary commodities, building value chains with a higher level of technology . Within that political ideology the art field and culture find their space through the intended development of the national culture industry.

In this article some discussions will be taken into account refering to coherence, relevance, and possibilities of development of cultural industries and the implications of thinking that bring art and culture as a set of marketable products and services which are briefly reprise.
