This article's main objective is to analyze whether the Circular Economy can now become the axis on which the sustainable economic growth of the economies of a region such as Latin America and the Caribbean pivots. Based on the definition of Circular Economy, this article analyzes if its basic features are met in the set of Latin American economies, investigating some concrete cases. It also addresses the significant problems and challenges of the Latin American and Caribbean economies concerning circularity and finally draws conclusions and outlines future lines of research that may be of interest at the academic and practical levels.
