This study examines y compares the relationship between economic tertiarization and aggregated productivity growth for economies in different stages of development. The study uses shift-share assessments and estimations for panel-data. The shift-share analysis is used to decompose the aggregate productivities by economic sectors. The econometric models assess the relationship between economic tertiarization and aggregated productivity growth. We use data for seven developed economies and twelve developing ones.
