GUTIERREZ, Francisco; LOAYZA, Carlos; PORTILLA, Arnulfo  e  ESPINOSA, José. Evaluación de dosis de nitrógeno sobre la acumulación de biomasa, composición bromatológica y eficiencia de uso en avena forrajera (Avena sativa), variedad Dorada. Siembra [online]. 2018, vol.5, n.1, pp.71-78. ISSN 2477-8850.  https://doi.org/10.29166/siembra.v5i1.1428.

The responsible management of fertilizers is a new vision pursuing the sustainability of agricultural systems. The nitrogen (N) is the most used fertilizing element, approximately the double as much as phosphorous (P) and potassium (K). The research objective was to evaluate the effect of nitrogen fertilization over the growing and quality of forage oats, each of the treatments was given a complementary quantity of P, K, Mg, y S for these nutrients not to interfere on the performance and allow to properly observe the nitrogen behavior. A randomness block pattern was used, with 3 blocks, 6 treatments and 3 repetitions, for the variables which had statistical significance (p< 0,05) the Tukey Test at the 5% level of probability was managed. The research determined that nitrogen fertilization increase the dry matter (DM) production with a quadratic tendency. The best agronomic efficiency of nitrogen (AEN) was obtained with levels of 70 and 140 kg N ha-1, the AEN was 219 and 120 kg DM kg N-1 respectively, with increasing levels of N ha-1 the EAN decreases and the non-nitrogen elements reduce. Finally, the use of N as fertilizer diminishes the operation costs of a ton of DM, the level 0 kg N ha-1 was the most expensive 88 dollars per ton, while with 70 kg N ha-1 shrinks to 70 dollar per ton, increasing levels of N do not diminish the costs significantly.
