Abstract

GUERRA BRAVO, Samuel. La ontología histórica como horizonte para la educación. Sophia [online]. 2019, n.27, pp.51-76. ISSN 1390-8626.  https://doi.org/10.17163/soph.n27.2019.01.

Education was always linked to philosophy, to the question of ‘being’, to metaphysics. What happens, however, after the ‘end of metaphysics’? On the other hand, ‘being’ has manifested itself in the same way in all historical areas? The hypothesis of this work is that philosophy in Latin America cannot benefit from its European ‘end’, because the question of “being” and “entities” has had specific determinations, linked to metaphysics as a theoretical horizon of domination. It is necessary a decolonial vision that criticizes that function of metaphysics and think about the conditions of a historical ontology that brings to light the possibilities of a reconstitution of ‘being’ and the logos. Historical ontology then appears as a new horizon for one's own existence and for corresponding education

Keywords : Metaphysics; ontology; being; historicity; modernity; decolonization.
