The incorporation of new electronic devices with automation and control features, are used daily to improve the lives of people, especially at home, in this case it is applied to people with motor difficulties. The objective of this research was the creation of a prototype that works by voice command using the Alexa device and has an Arduino for the control of elementary functions, whose sending/reception of data is done using Wi-Fi connection. As a methodological basis, the survey was used as a data collection technique and interviews with people with motor difficulties to determine the minimum activities to be performed by the home automation system, once the project is implemented to determine the level of acceptance. The results reflect that the implemented voice command system obtained 93,2% of effectiveness in the performance tests carried out and according to the acceptance surveys 64% of the people are satisfied with the project.
