The present research document executes the proposal of Business Process Management (BPM) for the administrative process for the certification of the students of the Catholic University of Cuenca; defining the BPM as a management discipline focused on improving business and academic performance, raising the levels of competitiveness and productivity, with the aim of continuously improving and being supported by Information Technologies. The field work is carried out at the Catholic University of Cuenca, located in the province of Azuay, Republic of Ecuador, during the academic year 2018, specifically for the third level (undergraduate). Participate in the process, secretaries and assistants of the different departments and Academic Units of the institution. The need to apply Business Process Management arises from the problems that exist in the administrative process for the degree, referring to the delay in the generation of processed times.
