Resumen

FORERO LLOREDA, Eduardo; MATTOS OROZCO, Ronald  y  AMADOR AREVALO, Arturo Andrés. The Guajira territory of “Garbage Spaces”. A look at the Economy of Subsistence. Letras Verdes [online]. 2017, n.22, pp.315-333. ISSN 1390-6631.  https://doi.org/10.17141/letrasverdes.22.2017.2687.

This paper aims to show how the Colombian State through the model of economic development has sought to join the global capitalist market by perpetuating the privileges and interests of the dominant classes based on local capital in alliance with global capital, materialized in Plans, programs and transnational projects. Thus, through its policies the State has been obstinate in impoverishing the cultural riches causing with "trash spaces". This is why, through the hegemonic discourse, it has developed different intervention mechanisms for mining in territories that are mostly indigenous and peasantry.
