The Middle East is a geostrategic spot marked by various conflicts and crises nowadays, which determine the relationship between state actors and non-state actors involved in the area, as well as the establishment of strategies and alliances among them. The main cause of some of these problematic dynamics is the rivalry between two powers: Iran and Saudi Arabia. These states seek the essential goal of standing up themselves as the only political and religious leader in the local scenario. The antagonism of their interests awakens in a climate of high tension and enmity that translates into a form of indirect confrontation, proxy war, which has repercussions in their surroundings, coming up greater instability and insecurity throughout the region.
