Abstract

CORDOVA-SUAREZ, Manolo; CARRASCO, María; PADILLA, Paola  and  GARCES-SANCHEZ, Estefania. Study of the Carbon Footprint in Unknown Units of Terrestrial Terminals. Rev Politéc. (Quito) [online]. 2018, vol.41, n.1, pp.39-44. ISSN 2477-8990.

The estimate of the carbon footprint of the terrestrial terminals of the city of Ambato (UDTA) reflects the reality of a problem that affects the world society. The measured factor is compared to the IPCC emission factor, which is 74100 kg CO2 / TJ, with the difference between emission factor technology and bus and fuel operation. The carbon footprint was 71,69 tCO2-e, 133,44 tCO2-e and 92159,74 tCO2-e, at scopes 1, 2 and 3; The largest contribution to the carbon footprint was given by the fleet of vehicles considered in scope 3.

Keywords : emission factor; NOx; CO2.
