Abstract
RIVERA, Néstor; CHICA, Juan; ZAMBRANO, Iván and GARCIA, Cristian. Study Of The Behavior Of An Otto Engine Of Electronic Injection In Relation To The Stoichiometry Of The Mixture And The Advance To The Ignition For Cuenca City. Rev Politéc. (Quito) [online]. 2017, vol.40, n.1, pp.59-67. ISSN 2477-8990.
The city of Cuenca is located at 2550 meters above sea level, which causes a decrease in engine power of motor vehicles due to decreased atmospheric pressure and the amount of oxygen in the air, bringing an increase in the emission of pollutants in the exhaust and increased fuel consumption. Add to that the fuel types available on the market, generating different responses in internal combustion engines. Using a factorial experimental design of two levels with intermediate points the degree of influence that the extra gas and super addition to the stoichiometry of the mix and advance the ignition engine operation is determined. Based on optimizing the operating point of the engine is modified achieving improved performance and emissions.
