In this paper we analyze some elements of the Art Direction used in Prometeo deportado, and its importance to reveal the presence of emerging elements of the discourse of national identity. Through the definition of the components of the artistic direction and its role in the visual narration, the technical and expressive resources used are specified to establish a connection with the recurring themes in the conformation of the Ecuadorian national identity.
