VEGA-MEJIA, Rubén; VELASQUEZ, Asdrúbal; RONCEROS, Cristhian y DE LA CRUZ, Carlos. Analysis of the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability parameters of Jusepín 12 compressor plant. Rev Politéc. (Quito) [online]. 2025, vol.55, n.1, pp.61-70. ISSN 2477-8990. https://doi.org/10.33333/rp.vol55n1.06.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the reliability, availability and maintainability (CDM) maintenance parameters of the Jusepín 12 compressor plant located in the Monagas state of Venezuela. At the beginning of the study, 991 failures were detected during the period 2017-2019, of which 84.3 % were attributed to the compressor motor system, which represented a total of 17166.5 hours out of service of this system. Therefore, the investigation focused primarily on this system. In addition, in the previous time interval and based on the times between failures (TBF), adjusted to the 3P Weibull distribution, reliability values of 43.75%, 36.44 % and 37.81% were recorded. These values are 95%, which is below the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for motor compressor systems. Regarding the maintainability, the values of 71.85 %, 72.46 % and 71.42 % were considered acceptable. Finally, the availability of the system investigated was 79.4 %, 86.4 % and 84.8 %, figures that are below the established KPI (94 %). It was concluded that the availability obtained was due to a better maintainability compared to reliability.
Palabras clave : Weibull 3P; motor compressor systems; time between failures (TBF); key performance indicator (KPI).
