The demand of the public for the quality of products or services, is a constant present in public and private dialogues, whether in social, commercial or academic spheres. In the case of television media, betting on the quality of the products makes it possible not only to build and define a brand, but also to position them in an increasingly demanding market. Within this context a group of teachers of the communication career carry out a research whose objective is: to know the process of quality control of informative audiovisual products of the television channels that broadcast signals from Manabí. In this regard, the results of the research process conducted with the use of empirical methods such as observation, survey and interview evidence that although the news departments of Manabita television require teamwork for their writing, editing and broadcasting processes of informative audiovisual products that appear through the screen, these do not follow a specific normative protocol that determines the quality standards that the informative notes of the news spaces should have.
