Resumen
LEON MOLINA, María Auxiliadora y SANCHEZ VEGA, Nahema. Humorous language and its informative mix in the content of three Ecuadorian youtubers. Ñawi [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.1, pp.223-238. ISSN 2588-0934. https://doi.org/10.37785/nw.v8n1.a12.
This article covers an analysis of the videos of the youtubers Felipe Crespo, Leonard Blue, and Logan and Logan, identifying the language used in their audiovisuals and checking how they involved it in news topics that circulated during the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. In the content analysis of 18 pieces, 12 variables involving the form and substance of the products were examined, such as hierarchy, frequency, degree, and percentage of language levels, editing resources, and linking the product with humor according to the language and its editing. As a result, it stands out that the videos prioritize standard and substandard language. That is, a popular dialogue tends to be informal in 60% of the cases and highlights the vulgar -it reaches 48% of the time of the videos-with insults, sexual terms, and slang. When linked to news events, these become humorous and fall into vulgarity.
