The participation of the leader in the development of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs is fundamental, since it is the leader who has the ability to shape the behavior of their peers, for this reason the present study aims to analyze the relationship of leadership level and its influence on SSO programs. An exploratory systematic review was carried out, synthesizing research on the subject described through a search in scientific databases, the study was addressed under the perspectives of Occupational Safety and Salad systematic approach, Engagement and Leadership and Roles for SSO in all organizational levels. According to the results of this study, several authors agree that the involvement of the management, as well as the Organizational Engagement can generate efficient results in the systems and programs oriented to the prevention of occupational risks, if the leader promotes positive behaviors and corrects the substandard actions, the Occupational Health and Safety culture is strengthened. The importance of organizations promoting management systems based on the development of human talent is highlighted, as well as the initial establishment of roles and responsibilities for the prevention of occupational risks.
