Resumen

ROCHA CONDOR, Alicia Gisell  y  HUACHO CHAVEZ, Jony. Optical Aerosol Thickness Analysis Due To Forest Fires In The Amazonia Of Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil And Bolivia. Perfiles [online]. 2022, vol.1, n.28, pp.90-101. ISSN 2477-9105.  https://doi.org/10.47187/perf.v1i28.189.

This research applied the Hysplit Lagrangian model to evaluate the presence of atmospheric aerosols in the city of Huancayo and to determine their relationship with forest fires in the Amazon regions of Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia. The methodology involved AOD data from the Cimel CE- 318T sun photometer installed at the Huancayo Observatory (Peru), forest fire data in the Amazon were downloaded from INPE - Brazil for the period 2018-2019. The Hysplit model made it possible to determine the trajectory and dispersion of air masses coming from the Amazon, in order to propose strategies for monitoring atmospheric aerosols. The results obtained show an increase in AOD in the months of August and September 2019 with values of [0.01 - 1.06] in the city of Huancayo, demonstrating that it is being influenced by atmospheric aerosols due to forest fires generated in the Amazon regions of Bolivia and Brazil. A set of statistical indicators was applied to validate the results.
