Health personnel are vulnerable regarding work-related stress, and are exposed to a high risk of suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), which encompasses a series of pathologies that can afflict the worker's working life and a high percentage of Family-level involvement, this study aims to emphasize what are the causes and consequences of chronic fatigue syndrome and the relationship of the syndrome with other pathologies, the research is carried out through the systematic review of studies and scientific evidence on CFS published in the recent years through a database search such as PubMed, SciELO, Elsevier, using the keywords. From the results obtained, 33 articles published in several countries were selected, the researchers studied involve variables corresponding to the subject, identifying CFS as a disease of unknown etiology related to the lifestyle, biological and psychosocial factors of the worker, which invites the occupational doctor to monitor the health of their workers in coordination with the department of psychology and together they acquire the responsibility to address this disease in an integral way improving the physical and mental state of the patient.
