Making the academy and the community are linked in favor of sustainable development is the objective of the link with society, therefore, this work has the purpose of offering a perspective towards the execution of a link with society based on altruism, the commitment and the organization, that coherently involves the actors of the same. For the research, the rural and marginal urban areas of Manabí were taken as context, places that have been visited as part of the project: The Communicational Tools and the Popular and Solidarity Economy of Manabí, during the period 2015-2020. There a qualitative and quantitative mixed methodology was carried out to communities of the province, with the participation of students and teachers, leaving as a result that the people of these sectors have a predisposition toward work to improve their living conditions and that within the link with The society teachers and students progressively understood the true purpose of sharing knowledge and motivating the population.
