The professional of Pedagogy-Psychology has among its professional functions the psycho-pedagogical counseling, which demands efficiency to be at the height of the socio-educational demands. Thus, this professional competence requires effective ways to guide the conscious action of the participants in the search for solutions to problems that arise. This article emanates from a scientific research, where the dialectical materialist method and the consultation to specialists, selected according to their competence coefficient, are used as a general method to determine the feasibility of the practical proposal. A methodology is offered for the psychopedagogical counseling competence that favors the performance of the Pedagogy-Psychology professional. As a result, it is found that it is a feasible and effective way for counseling, it is in itself a guide for the professional in Pedagogy-Psychology who needs to advise and transform ways of feeling, thinking and acting of the subjects in their contexts of professional performance. A particular method that dynamizes the process, the reflexive-collaborative one, is provided. It is concluded that the methodology constitutes a valuable tool, organizes and traces the path in psycho-pedagogical counseling.
