CALERO SALAZAR, Jessica Carina  and  CARRETERO POBLETE, Pedro Antonio. Influence of the intangible cultural heritage on the development of community tourism in Pistishí (Alausí, Chimborazo, Ecuador). Abstract Community-based tourism is a modality that seeks to link communities with tourists from an intercultural perspective, guaranteeing the valuation of their heritage, cultural rights and adequate resource management. Today, tourism is an activity that generates foreign exchange and employment, and recovers and maintains cultural manifestations in a sustainable manner. The parish of Pistishí is an area of Cañari domain where cultural manifestations are being lost, replaced by mestizos. The objective is to analyse the influence of the Intangible Cultural Heritage on the development of community tourism in the area, once the manifestations have been determined, to motivate its recovery, use by the inhabitants, demonstration and sharing when carrying out community tourism. This was done using analytical, descriptive and field methods, with the result that 12% belong to the field of Oral Traditions and Expressions, 38% to the field of Performing Arts, 31% to the field of Social Uses, Rituals and Festivals, 16% to the field of Traditional Knowledge and Uses with Nature and the Universe, and 3% to the field of Traditional Craft Techniques. 69% identify manifestations as a result of crossbreeding and 31% pre-Hispanic indigenous manifestations. 50% are recognised as current manifestations, 25% as current vulnerable manifestations and 25% as current manifestations in the collective memory. In addition, the development of community trism promotes the conservation and strengthening of their customs and traditions, and encourages future generations to recover their identity and provide real information.
