PARRA CRUZ, Addys; GALARZA SANTANA, Lucia Elena and SAN ANDRES PLUA, Nelly. RESPONSIBLE SEXUALITY VS SOCIAL TABÚES. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2018, vol.1, n.21, pp.74-87. ISSN 2528-7907.
Since the dawn of humanity, sexuality has been viewed with suspicion, and there are even taboos about it. It is our responsibility from the academy, to promote responsible attitudes, in the face of sexuality in our students. a descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out at the San Gregorio de Portoviejo University in November 2017. With the aim of assessing the level of knowledge of students about responsible sexuality, and how much social taboos affect them. Poor communication with parents, early initiation of sexual relations, ignorance of contraceptive methods, and sexually transmitted diseases; they are indicators of poor sexual education. The social taboos related to the issue emerge as a felt need to be modified in the short term.
Keywords : responsible sexuality; sexuality in pregnant women. sexuality in older adults. sexuality and social taboos; virginity and marriage..
