Abstract

GONCALVES DE GODOI, Carlos Eduardo. The negligence of the Brazilian state in the fight against corruption in the private sector. Iuris Dictio [online]. 2020, n.25, pp.167-186. ISSN 2528-7834.  https://doi.org/10.18272/iu.v25i25.1529.

Since the end of the 21st -Century, there has been an international movement to fight corruption in the private sector that for a long time was far from the scientific and political debate to the detriment of the public sector, whose legal instruments are longer and larger. However, Brazil walks against other countries that already criminalize corruption, with many frustrated attempts, even in the face of recent corruption scandals involving individuals with global repercussions. This article seeks to discuss the current Brazilian scenario and the consequences of the inefficiency of the Brazilian parliament in editing effective measures to criminalize corruption in the private sector for Brazilian society, especially for private initiative.
