Multiple studies determine that the excessive use of mobile phones can cause serious health problems due to their immoderate use, this analysis leads to concern within public and private institutions. The main goal of this research was to determine the level of ergonomic risk due to the frequent use of mobile phones in public officials who carry out administrative activities in the Municipal Autonomous Decentralized Government of the Gonzalo Pizarro canton, province of Sucumbíos. For this purpose, a bibliographic review was made and a descriptive type of research was used to analyze the characteristics of each individual, surveys and the observation method were applied. The results show that the overload of information on cell phones due to work groups in the social network WhatsApp and others, increases the frequency of using the equipment, which leads to poor posture, called neck pain, known as syndrome broken neck.
