The alcohol consuming as a component of the religious and social behavior of humankind is registered since the civilization beginning, and deserves an anthropological proximity for its comprehension. When someone must do something, he or she gets immerse in a situation, which is inextricable, biological and cultural. This thought is defined from a sociological study known as “Beverages with identity”, which the result of the identification is done by a group of people. In this process, it takes into account the intrinsic qualities, origin, way of producing, practical uses, social functions, patrimonial value, etc.
Within the research framework proposed in this article, its main objective is the contribution of classic or traditional cocktails to preserve cultural identity, based on an exploratory methodology that allows us to perceive the reality in which the preparation of cocktails with local identity found within of our environment. This exploration seeks the rescue of a part of the cultural identity of Ecuadorian people and nationalities, contributing to a greater use of resources belonging to each region through the preparation of cocktails, innovating classic or traditional cocktails.
