Riesgo ergonómico por levantamiento de cargas: Caso de estudio “Talleres de mantenimiento vehicular de maquinaria pesada”Ergonomic risk associated to lifting loads: Case study “Vehicle maintenance workshops for heavy machinery”. Overexertion due to activities in which there is manual handling of loads is one of the main causes for the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders. The objective of this research is the ergonomic evaluation of handling and transporting loads in heavy vehicle maintenance workers. The risk assessment is made using the UNE-EN-1005-2 and Manual Handling Assessment Charts (MAC) methods, the physical capacity of work is stablished using Manero’s step test, whereas that the musculoskeletal symptomatology is analyzed by anadapted version of the Kuorinka Nordic questionnaire. The results of the assessment indicate that 30.4% of the activities have an unacceptable high-level risk that can negatively affect the lower back, the MAC method establishes that 18.75% of the activities present a high risk of damage to the physical integrity of the workers, regarding to the step test, 100% of the personnel studied have a physical work capacity (FWC) high for their age (> 45 ml / kg * min). The body regions of the workers that have the most negative impacts are the lower back, knees and with lesser effect in the upper extremities.
