Abstract

The vascular wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum in Phaseolus vulgaris (common bean) is a phytosanitary problem that directly affects the yield and armers economy. , for its control chemical contact products are used. However, an alternative to this use is biocontrol, using plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) with good antagonistic capacity. In this work we compare bacterial genera with PGPR characteristics; Bacillus (Bacillus sp. "A", Bacillus sp. "B", Rhizobium, Actinobacteria (Streptomyces sp.) and Azotobacter. Prochloraz as chemical control and Bacillus subtilis as positive control. As best candidate PGPR and biocontrol we have to Bacillus “a” (IBAC0212), with an incidence of 61.54% in agronomic parameters of 0.42g and 17.23cm of dry weight and total length, followed by Rhizobium (CIAT899) and Actinobacteria (QP12) which has a severity of grade 3 and incidence antagonistic of 76.93%, dry weight 0.34 and 0.31 g and a total length of 18 and 17 cm, respectively, Azotobacter (QZ1) showed good performance PGPR with a dry weight of 0.38g. The objective of this work was to evaluate the biocontrol of the strains with PGPR potential against F. oxysporum.
