Abstract
LUPERA MORILLO, Pablo; QUISTIAL, Alvin; TIPANTUNA, Christian and CARVAJAL, Jorge. An 900 MHz Adapted Path Loss Model for Microcells in Quito. Rev Politéc. (Quito) [online]. 2018, vol.41, n.2, pp.29-36. ISSN 2477-8990.
This paper presents a path-loss model for predicting signal propagation in Line of Sight (LOS) and Non Line of Sight (NLOS) environments for microcell from 928 MHz to 960 MHz. For to determine the path-loss model is used the method of Least Square Approximation. The determination of model for predicting the path-loss was made through received power measurements at different points in a coverage area. The new model is based on existing propagation models such as Free space model, Okumura model, Okumura-Hata model, Cost-231 model, Egli model and Walfisch model. The model was obtained by using a method of adjustment such as Mean Square Error (MSE) and simple method.
