The purpose of this study was to determine the energy quality parameters in the system of an industrial user connected in medium voltage, which registered penalties from the local distributor for failing to comply with minimum quality parameters. An energy audit was carried out according to regulation No. ARCERNNR 002/20; monitoring the system with a FLUKE network analyzer, showing flickers greater than 1, harmonic distortion of up to 36% and average power factor of 0.84 during 50% of the records obtained. The ETAP software was used to analyze the load flows, registering voltage variations of up to 26%. According to the results obtained, improvements were proposed such as; load redistribution, power factor compensation, harmonics and use of solar energy, actions verified through DIALux and ETAP. With the analysis and proposals raised, it is proposed to substantially improve the energy performance of the user.
