In Ecuador, exports of non-traditional products have gained position in the international market during the last 5 years; That is why they play a very important role within the country, allowing its development. However, the various crises that have arisen in recent periods, such as the COVID 19 pandemic (2020), the container crisis (2021) and the war between Russia and Ukraine (2022), have triggered a series of problems in trade. internationally, directly impacting the country's economy. The present investigation is carried out with the purpose of implementing competitive strategies based on the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix, to promote the exports of non-traditional products in conditions of international crisis in Ecuador. To give scientific rigor, theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used. According to the results presented, the crisis that had the greatest incidence in the country was that of the 2020 period, which greatly affected non-traditional Ecuadorian exports. In particular, natural flowers were the product that had the greatest impact during all the years in which these events took place. Therefore, the various strategies of promotion, diversification, distribution and investment will allow in a possible international crisis to reduce the level of impact and boost these exports.
