Collective action in pure domination episodes is a natural activity of the dominated subjects in a public scenery. This review reaises a theoretical discussion about the James Scott’s work: “Domination an the Art of Resistance”, The objective is to review the analytical categories and methodological tools used by the author in the comprehension of subaltern societies and their relationship with dominant groups. Findings were based on five categories developed through the documentary and informative analysis. The role of the state, discourses, ideology, infrapolitics and culture are the main references in Scott’s work. The first result is an innovative literature to study domination as a political process through events from dominant’s perpective. Finally, it concludes with a brief review of the strengths and weaknesses of this theoretical and methodological approach.
