SALAS, Pablo. THE LEGITIMACY CONSTRUCTION OF THE JURY AT AN OFFICIAL THEATER FESTIVAL. []. , 1, pp.57-67. ISSN 2550-6722.

Social studies about theatre have historically left out the important role of the State in artistic consecration processes in Argentina. This article chooses an official theatre festival held by the State in order to look into the legitimacy criteria and strategies of jury’s exhibition towards independent theatrists’ community. It is shown that jury’s geographical, stratum and professional diversity have been the principal criteria to be accepted by different social actors in the event. This study examines the programs handed out by the Fiesta Provincial del Teatro de Tucumán and shows how heterogeneity is technically produced and homogeneity is hidden by the event organization. At last, different investigation paths are developed between genealogy sketches or social practices logic.
