GONZALEZ, Lilian    ORTA, Yudit. ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND PROFESSIONAL BURNOUT SYNDROME IN UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS. []. , 1, pp.14-30. ISSN 2550-6722.

Professional Burnout Syndrome (PBS), is considered the final stage of job stress. In that sense, it is precisely the Organizational Culture one of the conditioning phenomena of its experience, which particularizes the expressions of it in every organizational context. Because the educational sector is currently one of the most vulnerable to its suffering, an analysis that tries to establish key explanations to the widespread occurrence of this phenomenon in one of the most significant links in our society becomes necessary. A descriptive and explanatory investigation type is proposed here which from the transdisciplinary and systemic perspective offered by Socio-Cultural Studies, establishes the following general objective: To determine the elements of the Organizational Culture which affect the presence of professional burnout syndrome (PBS), in members of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. The study is designed on the basis of a mixed methodology. In general, can be say that teachers are not affected by PBS, but that they still experience some of its symptoms. This is conditioned primarily by cultural factors relating to work overload, inadequate working conditions and remuneration.
