La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la importancia de la valoración psicológica para la obtención de la declaratoria de idoneidad, la valoración psicológica determina la capacidad para cubrir las necesidades del Niño, Niña o Adolescente, el dispositivo utilizado para este fin es el Cuestionario para la Evaluación de Adoptantes, Cuidadores, Tutores y Mediadores el que valora los siguientes Factores de Segundo Orden: Cuidados responsable, cuidado afectivo, sensibilidad hacia los demás y el factor adicional: agresividad. La metodología implementada para lograr el objetivo de determinar la incidencia de estos en la declaratoria de idoneidad de los adoptantes de la Zona 4 de Ecuador fue de naturaleza cuantitativa, estudio no experimental de temporalidad transversal. Se analizaron e interpretaron los factores de segundo orden, los que reflejaron puntuaciones altas y medias, el 63,89% son personas reflexivas, resolutivas y flexibles por lo que pueden brindar cuidado responsable, el 72,22% tienen capacidades para establecer un vínculo afectivo seguro, brindando cuidado afectivo, el 72,22% tiene cierto grado de sensibilidad hacia los demás, calidez y amabilidad y el 50,00% se caracterizan por ser tolerantes y poco irritables, las puntuaciones obtenidas están dentro del rango normal, e indican que los solicitantes podrían cubrir las necesidades del NNA.

The objective of this research is to determine the importance of the psychological evaluation in order to obtain the declaration of suitability, the psychological evaluation determines the capacity to cover the needs of the child or adolescent, the device used for this purpose is the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of Adopters, Caregivers, Guardians and Mediators which evaluates the following Second Order Factors: Responsible Care, Affective Care, Sensitivity towards others and the additional factor: aggressiveness. The methodology implemented to achieve the objective of determining the incidence of these factors in the declaration of suitability of adopters in Zone 4 of Ecuador was a quantitative, non-experimental study of transversal temporality. The second order factors were analyzed and interpreted, which reflected high and medium scores, 63.89% are reflective, resolute and flexible persons and therefore can provide responsible care, 72.22% have the capacity to establish a secure affective bond, providing affectionate care, 72.22% have a certain degree of sensitivity towards others, warmth and kindness and 50.00% are characterized by being tolerant and not very irritable, the scores obtained are within the normal range, and indicate that the applicants could meet the needs of the child.
