Inclusive education has constant challenges in contemporary society, in an environment of healthy coexistence that does not give rise to any type of exclusion. However, the discussions on this issue have not delved into what legal instruments are necessary to build this reality. In this way, the purpose of this research work is to provide a perspective of what a teaching and learning process should be for there to be a truly inclusive education from the perspective of the Ecuadorian educational legal framework. Additionally, the pedagogical strategies implemented by teachers for inclusive education of the subjects who learn are analyzed. From a descriptive qualitative methodological approach, the analysis of the regulations and surveys, the data were obtained to verify the presence of the principles of good practices of inclusive education in the country's policies. Therefore, the scope of this work is to constitute a contribution regarding a subject in which the essential normative and legal principles are provided to establish attention to diversity through an inclusive education that really cares about breaking the models traditionalists and leave inclusive education behind.
