MENDOZA, Nataly Barreiro; PICO CORONEL, Jenny Nathaly; VERA SOLORZANO, Francisco Xavier    SANTOS ZAMBRANO, Thaináh Bruna. MANUAL AND MECHANIZED TECHNIQUES IN ENDODONTIC RETREATMENT: REVIEW OF LITERATURE RESUMEN. []. , 1, 24, pp.6-15. ISSN 2528-7907.

Despite the advances in endodontic there are cases that result in failure. In face of failures, the endodontic retreatment is the first alternative of choice if its indications and limitations are respected. The enormous literature work that approaches the subject points up the relation of the microbial factors and the technical errors related with endodontic failures. The inadequate disinfection and filling of the root canal are responsible for the majority of failures followed by accidents techniques. To retreat the canal, several techniques are shown in the literature in order to facilitate and speed this procedure, among them, the use of rotary instruments is detached. The retreatment is an efficient alternative in cases of endodontic failure, reaching success in approximately 77% of the cases. The purpose of this work was to review the literature about determining the manual and rotary techniques most used in endodontic retreatment.
