¿Cómo debe la política tributaria abordar la disrupción de las nuevas tecnologías en la era de la economía digital? Este artículo busca motivar al debate sobre los retos fiscales de la revolución digital. Las plataformas de comercio electrónico que utilizamos día a día desafían el principio de la fuente en materia tributaria. Las criptomonedas soportadas en la tecnología de blockchain son un motivo de preocupación de las Administraciones Tributarias. Por último, existe incertidumbre sobre el camino que podría tomar la política fiscal ante la expansión de la inteligencia artificial: ¿Qué sigue? ¿Un impuesto a los robots?

How should the tax policy address the disruption of new technologies in the era of digital economy? This article seeks to encourage the debate on the fiscal challenges of the digital revolution. The electronic commerce platforms that we use daily defy the principle of source in the tax field. Cryptocurrencies supported by blockchain technology are a matter of concern for Tax Administrations. Finally, there is uncertainty regarding the path that fiscal policy could take in the face of the expansion of robots and artificial intelligence: What is next? Taxing robots?
