VALENZUELA GOMEZ, Melissa. See the clouds. Study about the forms of representation of toxic clouds and its impact on the ways of seeing violence. []. , 14, pp.92-104. ISSN 2477-9199.  https://doi.org/10.26807/cav.v7i14.476.

Toxic clouds can be understood as violent events that invade the air we breathe. The genealogical gaze at toxic clouds unveils the representation mechanisms of conflict and political events. This article presents an analysis of the representation strategies that emerge around toxic clouds and how these forms of violence transform the ways of seeing and representing war. I conclude with the analysis of two artistic proposals: Santa (2006) by Miguel Ángel Rojas and Tear gas in Plaza de la Dignidad (2021) by Forensic Architecture (FA). In this works I review the ways in which the violence exercised against the air we breathe has been made visible and this review allow me to analyze what is the political sense of looking at toxic clouds.
