Este trabajo reflexiona en torno a las imágenes producidas y/o mediadas por aparatos tecnológicos digitales, específicamente imágenes que emergen dentro del campo del arte chileno contemporáneo, las cuales contribuyen a orientar la discusión en torno a los problemas representacionales de un régimen visual algorítmico. Específicamente, este artículo propone la hipótesis de que a la luz de la revisión de ciertas prácticas, presentes en el arte chileno contemporáneo que trabajan con el lenguaje algorítmico, resulta necesario comenzar a actualizar el marco teórico con el que analizamos las prácticas artísticas contemporáneas, asunto para el que tanto la noción de visiónica (Virilio, 1998) como la de imagen invisible (Paglen, 2019) nos proporcionan un punto de partida desde donde pensar la relación arte y digitalidad al interior del nuevo contexto de visión maquínica.

This work reflects on the images produced and / or mediated by digital technological devices, specifically images that emerge within the field of contemporary Chilean art, which contribute to orient the discussion around the representational problems of an algorithmic visual regime. Specifically, this article proposes the hypothesis that in light of the review of certain practices present in contemporary Chilean art that work with algorithmic language, it becomes necessary to update the theoretical framework with which we analyze contemporary artistic practices. for which both the notion of visionic (Virilio, 1998) and that of invisible image (Paglen, 2019) provide us with a starting point from which to think about the relationship between art and digitality within the new context of machinic vision.
