New Open Source technologies have influenced the development of computer systems applied to the processes of higher education institutes. This research shows the feasibility of automating the management of enrollment and grades at the Higher Technological Institute ”San Gabriel.” The qualitative applied study was developed using empirical research, which determined the requirements and needs. In the same way, a bibliographic search was carried out in scientific journals and databases such as Scielo, and Latindex 2.0, among others. The analysis, development, and implementation were carried out through the agile development methodology Scrum which allows dividing into small blocks of functionalities for each module of the system to improve later and adjust the results; in addition, the constant collaboration of the client with the Scrum team guarantees a quality software. For the construction of the system, object-oriented programming, N-Capas architecture, and Laravel were used as development frameworks. The results allowed the automation the institution to automate the management of enrollments and grades using a user-friendly interface evidenced in the ease of handling by students, teachers, and administrative staff.
