MONTALVAN, F. et al. Stability of slopes for a design of a manual sanitary landfill for a population of 5000 inhabitants. []. , 4, 3, pp.103-110. ISSN 1390-7697.  https://doi.org/10.26423/rctu.v4i3.276.

This work was carried out for the study of slope stability for a manual landfill, in which a population of 5000 inhabitants was considered, in which, the geomechanical properties used were cohesion, friction angle and specific weight, which were introduced to the software Slide 5.0, by the method of Janbu. The conditions for the analysis, to which the filler design was subjected, were both static and pseudo-static, including saturation levels in the residue layer; Causing instability and faults in the slope geometry. The conditions to which the landfill was subject were both static and pseudo static including saturation levels in the layer of waste; causing instability and failures of land in the geometry of the slopes. The result obtained with the analysis of slope stability, is known as Safety Factor (F.S.) which indicates the occurrence or not of a type of failure that can occur on the slope. This result of the analysis is based on the Ecuadorian Standard Construction 2011 which is in force in Ecuador, where it is recommended that for the design and construction of the projects in contact with the ground should ensure proper structures behavior and the preservation of human life.
